Never could bring myself to blow them up, honestly, it just seems like too much of an asshole move to do. Brotherhood in Fallout 3 under Lyons was pretty cool in my book, given that they were the only competent faction in the area. Sure, I'm a naive optimist, but if I'm not playing a character with a specific moral outlook or personality then I usually default to wanting to do what's best for everyone in-game. personally I liked the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3 because they were under the leadership of some people that actually wanted to try and help people out for a change. It's all been really interesting to read. Thanks for everything you guys have had to say, positive or negative. So, do tell Fallout fanbase that will now downvote me to hell, how did any of you like any of these assholes?Įdit: Wow, I did not expect this kind of reception. I really don't think a writer has succeeded when my first instinct upon my Very Good karma character being given the option to bomb the "good guys" is to go for it and laugh manically for (I'm not kidding) an hour. My dad's an idealistic numbskull chasing dead pussy, Doctor Li is arrogant and rude, and the Brotherhood of Steel are just annoying assholes who can't do anything themselves and needed to be completely rewritten as heroes. And the main reason for this is because I just absolutely hated every main charcter. Of those experiences, I fucking despised Fallout 3. My prior experiences were New Vegas and all of its content, a lore bible of Fallout 1 and 2, and a few hours with Fallout 4. I recently finished playing Fallout 3 and its 5 DLC content packs for the first time.
